You know that feeling when you’re outside in the Summer and all you want is a slushy? Then, once you get that slushy, you can’t help but think how much better it would be if it was alcoholic… well, we feel you.
Instead of balancing two glasses – one of your slushy and one of rosé, enter the perfect Rosé Granita. The best way to drink your rosé and enjoy a cool refreshing treat. We love this as a cool treat poolside or a dessert after a nice meal outdoors.
Try it out yourself!
Ingredients
2 cups dry rosé wine
1/2 cup water
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1/2 cup organic sugar
fresh berries (garnish, optional)
Prep
Resist the urge to drink that entire bottle of rosé, and save some aside for dessert.
Method
In a large mixing bowl, combine the dry rosé wine, water, lemon juice, and organic sugar.
Mix well until sugar is fully dissolved.
Pour into a large glass baking dish.
Place in the freezer uncovered.
After 20-30 minutes, use a fork to stir the mixture and break up ice chunks.
Place back in the freezer, and stir again after 20-30 minutes.
Repeat until the mixture is completely frozen and slushy (about 2-3 hours).
