The Summer Olympic Games kick off this week in Brazil, and we couldn’t be more hyped! Sure, we’re excited to watch all of the International competition, but you know what we’re really excited most for? All of the amazing Brazilian foods and drinks we now have an excuse to make in the kitchen!

To quench our thirst while we watch Team USA do the actual work, we’re making some Watermelon Caipirinhas. This fun twist on the classic Brazilian drink is a great way to relax and soak up the Summery vibes.

Ingredients

1/2 lime

1 tsp organic sugar

2 oz cachaça

2 oz watermelon juice (Try Califia Farms Watermelon Ginger Lime Agua Fresca)

1 slice watermelon, to garnish

Prep

Slice your lime into thin rounds and place them in a small tumbler.

Method

Add your sugar to the glass and muddle the sugar and limes.

Add the watermelon juice.

Add a few ice cubes.

Pour in the cachaça.

Stir the drink to mix

Garnish with a slice of watermelon and serve with a stirring rod.
