Margarita Salt Rims

We LOVE a good MARG. Girls night, boozy brunch, or just chillin’, margaritas are the perfect cocktail to geth things going… Especially on Cinco de Mayo.

You can jazz up your margz with different kinds of juices and a little spice (check out our Spicy Grapefruit Margarita), OR you could always try a fancy salt rim.

We don’t subscribe to that whole “no salt” or “half salt” thing. The salt rim is an integral part of the margarita experience, and adding different flavors and colors will elevate your margarita experience even better.

We’ve put together a few of our favorite salt rim blends that you can use on your next margarita adventure.

GINGER SALT RIM

We love to pair this ginger salt rim with a classic margarita for a little zing or with a cantaloupe margarita for a lot of zing! The best part about using ginger in your cocktails is that It’s super healthy! Perhaps it will counter balance the drinking…

Makes Rims for 2 Margs

Ingredients:

1 tsp freshly grated ginger

2 Tbsp Kosher salt

1 lime wedge

Method:

Combine freshly grated ginger and salt in a small bowl

Rub lime wedge around the rims of your margarita glasses

Dip the top of the glasses in the ginger and salt mixture to coat evenly

PINK LEMON SALT RIM

Looking for a little pop of color? We love pairing this rim with a lemon margarita so the pink really shines, or with a super pink prickly pear margarita for a monochromatic look. Switch the salt out for sugar for a different take.

Makes Rims for 2 Margs

1 lemon wedge

SPICY CHILI SALT RIM

The best way to add a little spice to your marg without having to worry about infusing tequila or chopping jalapeños? A spicy salt rim. We love mixing in some smokey chili powder, beautiful chili flakes, and a dash of cayenne for a bold pop of flavor that goes well with almost any margarita.
