Peace out 2015!
Can you believe it’s already 2016? The end of 2015 totally crept up on us, we barely even had time to reflect…
Now we’re gearing up for a night of celebrations and making sure that you are prepared with a few tricks up your sleeve!
Our favorite way to ring in New Year’s is with an intimate gathering of friends and family.
If you’re also planning to host this year, here are a few things to buy, some DIY decoration ideas, and snacks to keep your guests satisfied until the ball drops.
As always, check out our Pinterest for holiday mood inspiration.

1. Spell it out this New Year’s with gold balloon letters

3. Light it up! the party will be going late, so figure out a light scheme that works for you. We love these battery powered string lights their LED shimmer will last for years and at the magical touch to your evening.
4. Did somebody say photo booth? What party is complete without a photo booth these days. Take it from amateur to expert with these New Year’s themed props.
DIY Decorations
Confined to a budget this year? Don’t worry, DIY! We love a good crafts project, especially ones that look professionally done! Instead of splurging on your evening, think outside the box and take some inspo from us.
1. For a cheap, but elevated touch, fill some basic balloons with glitter and sequence and then inflate. Make sure no one pops them though!
2. Repurpose those christmas lights from the week before into an awesome starlit lighting scheme.
3. Dress up your holiday cocktails with glitzy stirrers made from straws with ribbons or streamers glued to the ends.
4. Use gold streamers to turn a portion of a wall into the backdrop of a DIY photo booth.
Fav Recipes
Hopefully all of your guests are well fed before arriving, but keep them satisfied with a few prepared snack. Oh and don’t forget the booze! New Year’s is after all, about that bubbly.
1. First and foremost, make sure to check out our take on Champagne Cocktails. We got a little bored with straight up bubbly this year, so go ahead and have some fun on us.
2. Keep a bowl of Sweet n’ Spicy Candied Pecans by the bar section at your party. They’re so simple to make and, and always a crowd pleaser.
3. If kids are attending the soirée, make sure to keep them happy too! We love this simple recipe for Goldfish or Animal Cookies.
4. Looking for something a bit heartier? Nobody ever got mad at a lil’ crostini. Give one of our all time favs a try, Butternut Crostini with Caramelized Onions.
Drink responsibly, and have a Happy New Year!
