Almond Tart Shell

It’s Fall! That means Thanksgiving, and that means… pies!

Fresh from our favorite blog series “I didn’t know a nut could do that” is our recipe for, you guessed it! pie crust. But because we’re by CHLOE. we’re making it with almonds.

Ingredients

2 cups almond meal (store bought)*

4 Tbsp pure maple syrup

1 Tbsp coconut oil

1/8 tsp sea salt

 

*or make your own by placing 2 cups of blanched almonds in a food processor until finely ground

Method

Preheat oven to 350°.

Grease a 9-inch tart pan.

Combine almond meal, pure maple syrup, coconut oil, and sea salt in a large bowl.

Mix until sand-like, and transfer to tart pan.

Press firmly into edges until crust is formed.

Bake for 10-15 minutes until a light golden brown color.

Add desired fruit and bake for another 10-15 minutes.

Fill ’em up with fresh fruit, cream + serve!
